[A Sacrifice to save those in Deep Space.]

We made a mistake in allowing the man called Lehua Marjin to do so far in developing his CAMPIN Program. The Corporations got in our way.

Efforts to remove traces of his technology from Belphus were largely successful but off-world in Deep Space remains an ongoing issue.

Due to the need to plant NISRO and other operatives on Deep Space planetary bodies we built Survival Shelters to be dropped from orbit.

Stocked with foodstuffs, materials and built to last they form a form of defense and living quarters for individuals who need to deal with CAMPIN outbreaks or for other reasons have to be quarantined due to infection from contanimated Mining Outposts.

Realising that individuals and groups needed additional support and/or company we built ALIS.

A robot with heavily limited systems and awareness cut out that it would automatically break down in case of any sign of infection of CAMPIN tech.

The program was the operating system. Building the physical structure was possible but adding in an artificial intelligence wasn’t an option.

Reusing original and repurposed prototype CAMPIN technology, we formed a rough Machine Mind dedicated to NISRO. No need to build in obedience and dedication to the cause when we had an existing model to borrow it from.

Alice Vanda: NISRO Field Commander provided us with that. We took a copy of consciousness, converted it into a Machine Mind and integrated it into a basic and mass produced robotic model of custom design.

ALIS. The companion and integrated part of all Survival Shelters.
